Summary: The Senior Network Engineer role involves securing networked systems for a financial services client by establishing and enforcing policies and monitoring access. The position requires extensive experience with firewalls and Cisco devices, along with a strong background in network and voice technologies. This is a fully remote contract position lasting 12 months, with a focus on business-as-usual (BAU) operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Secure networked systems by establishing and enforcing policies and monitoring access.
• Install and configure FortiGate firewalls and FortiManager clusters.
• Virtualize FortiGate gateways for VDOMs and FortiManagers for ADOMs.
• Utilize routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP.
• Implement routing technologies including VRF, VDC, ACL, and NAT.
• Demonstrate significant network and voice experience.
• Collaborate effectively within a team environment.

Key Skills:

• Experience with firewalls (Cisco, Fortigate, Juniper, Palo Alto).
• Strong technical expertise with Cisco devices, including ACI.
• Cisco Certified Network Professional Routing and Switching (CCNP Routing & Switching) or equivalent experience.
• Detailed knowledge of TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, VPN, and network monitoring tools.
• Experience with AWS or Azure.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in banking, financial, or investment banking sectors is advantageous.
