Summary: The Senior/Lead Application Developer (MERN) role is a contract position focused on designing, developing, and maintaining web applications using the MERN technology stack. The successful candidate will work independently and collaboratively, addressing both enhancements to existing applications and the development of new solutions. This position requires a strong understanding of the full web development life cycle and AWS services. The role is remote and classified as outside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing web applications using the MERN stack and TypeScript.
- Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to conceptualize, define, and implement new features.
- Working with Public Cloud (AWS) services to enhance applications.
- Testing applications for performance and functionality.
- Developing user-facing features using React.js, ensuring appealing and responsive user interfaces.
- Collaborating with other developers on projects.
- Working alongside development members and business partners to develop microservices.
- Identifying and addressing bugs, glitches, and performance issues to maintain application functionality.
- Keeping abreast of emerging technologies and trends to contribute to continuous improvement.
- Writing technical documentation.
Key Skills:
- Strong skills in Advanced JavaScript (NodeJS ES6) technologies and TypeScript with knowledge of best practices.
- DevOps strategies, designing, and best practices/strategies.
- Senior development experience using the MERN framework for web application development.
- Unit testing with React Testing Library / Jest and E2E test automation with Cypress.
- Industry standard CI/CD Orchestration Tools (GitHub Actions and Docker).
- Knowledge of Docker, API microservices, and API integration with SAP.
- A detailed and working knowledge of AWS services.

Job Role – Senior/Lead Application Developer (MERN)
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining web applications using the MERN technology stack, which includes MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of the full web development life cycle, a thorough understanding of AWS and be able to work independently as well as collaboratively with other developers. The role will deal with both fixes/enhancements to existing applications as well as developing new applications to meet business needs.
