Summary: The SCADA Security Automation Engineer is tasked with implementing and supporting cyber security patching for AVEVA (Wonderware) System platforms and SQL Server-based factory management systems within company plants. This role involves collaboration with FMS and IT teams to analyze business problems and deliver technical solutions. The engineer will also maintain relationships between business entities and the engineering organization while ensuring adherence to company standards. The position requires flexibility to work across time zones and provide remote support as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- System development and configuration in AVEVA (Wonderware) System Platform, InTouch, and MS SQL Server.
- Works hand in hand with the FMS and IT teams.
- Analyzes business problems, develops solutions, and implements value-added technical and non-technical solutions to those challenges.
- Maintains a strong positive relationship between the business entities and the Engineering organization.
- Proposes and delivers systems and services that add increasing value to the business on time and within budget.
- Embraces and enforces company FMS standards with new and existing equipment vendors to support rapid implementations.
- Provides plant support for FMS during the day, off-hours, weekends, and holidays as required.
Key Skills:
- Minimum 5 years demonstrated project experience developing and implementing AVEVA (Wonderware) System platform.
- Competent in use of AVEVA/Wonderware system platform troubleshooting tools.
- Experience of Hyper-V virtualization technologies, including server migration, configuration, management, and maintenance.
- Familiar with Inductive Automation Ignition 8.1.
- Experience using SQL Server 2017 databases, stored procedures, SQL Reporting Services, and .NET.
- Understanding of Rockwell PLCs (SLC 500, Micrologix, Compactlogix, ControlLogix).
- Knowledge of network troubleshooting, including resolving connectivity issues, optimizing network performance, and ensuring reliable communications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are an essential element of this position.
- Must be comfortable working on the plant floor in a hands-on start-up environment with challenging schedules.
- Ability to apply project management and time management skills to consistently meet project timelines with aggressive schedules.
- Excellent problem analysis and problem-solving skills.
