Summary: The Salt Stack Infrastructure Automation Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining automation solutions using SaltStack. Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain SaltStack-based automation and orchestration solutions.
- Develop configuration management modules and states for Linux/Windows servers.
- Implement infrastructure-as-code principles to standardize system provisioning and deployments.
- Troubleshoot automation issues and optimize SaltStack workflows for performance and maintainability.
- Collaborate with DevOps and Cloud teams to integrate SaltStack with CI/CD pipelines and monitoring tools.
- Maintain security and compliance across managed systems.
Key Skills:
- 6+ years of experience in infrastructure automation or DevOps engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with SaltStack (Salt Master, Minions, States, Pillars, Grains, etc.).
- Solid knowledge of Linux system administration (RedHat, Ubuntu, CentOS).
- Proficiency in Python or Bash scripting for automation and module development.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Bamboo) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
- Familiarity with other configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef) is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with a strong focus on automation reliability.
