Summary: The PKI Security Architect role is focused on leading the architecture, design, and implementation of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) solutions within secure environments. The position requires extensive experience in PKI, Hardware Security Modules (HSMs), and encryption technologies, with a strong emphasis on collaboration and compliance. The role is remote and requires SC security clearance, classified as inside IR35. Candidates should have a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in cybersecurity architecture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of PKI solutions in large-scale, secure environments.
- Support the migration from an existing PKI to a newly developed PKI infrastructure for the Smart Meter Solution.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure secure integration of PKI within the cybersecurity framework.
- Manage and maintain HSMs, including configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting.
- Provide expert guidance on encryption standards, certificate lifecycle management, and secure key storage.
- Collaborate with other cybersecurity architects and engineers to maintain compliance with regulatory and industry standards.
Key Skills:
- 7+ years of experience in PKI, HSM, encryption, and digital certificate management.
- Deep understanding of PKI architecture and design principles.
- Proven experience working directly with HSMs in a production environment.
- Strong general knowledge of cybersecurity principles, tools, and frameworks.
- Experience with IBM PKI solutions is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to operate independently or as part of a team.
