Summary: This role is a Contract to Hire position for a SQL Server Administrator, primarily focused on remote work within Central/Eastern time zones. The candidate will be responsible for administering SQL Server databases, resolving issues, and ensuring the stability and performance of the database systems. Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer SQL Server databases (2016, 2017, 2019, 2022, 2025).
  • Identify, research, resolve, and respond to a high volume of issues from internal and external customers.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain the database system to meet ongoing business needs.
  • Conduct logical and physical database design, structure testing, and security administration.
  • Plan and conduct structured testing of database designs to confirm functionality and performance.
  • Lead task forces to develop and implement an Enterprise database system.
  • Develop and implement policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines for database administration.
  • Oversee the development of complex data models and logical database design.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and support the organization's quality programs.
  • Administer company personnel policies and follow staffing standards and training recommendations.

Key Skills:

  • 4+ years of experience administering SQL Server.
  • Expertise in database platforms such as SQL Server, Oracle, HANA, MariaDB, and Progress DB.
  • Experience with performance tuning and clustering, including AlwaysOn Availability Groups and replication.

  • Familiarity with tools like Redgate, Idera, and GoldenGate.
