Summary: The Network Engineer (Network Automation) role involves working remotely on a 6-month contract with a leading global travel agency. The position focuses on delivering a large-scale data center migration, including the design and deployment of new network infrastructure while enhancing automation and network stability. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data center networking and network automation, contributing to a high-impact program in a rapidly scaling business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and deploy new network infrastructure for data center migration.
- Improve automation, monitoring, and network stability across a globally distributed environment.
- Collaborate with network and IT teams worldwide.
- Contribute to a fast-paced, high-impact program.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in building and maintaining network automation stacks (using Python).
- Strong knowledge of zero-touch provisioning and automated configuration management.
- Expertise in monitoring network quality, availability, and performance.
- Deep understanding of routing and switching, TCP/IP stack, and protocols such as BGP, EVPN, VXLAN, IPv6, and MPLS.
- Hands-on experience designing, deploying, and managing large-scale data center networks.
- Experience with private cloud network virtualization.
- Familiarity with multi-vendor networking environments.
- Proven track record in incident management and vendor coordination.
- Experience working with AWS networking (nice to have).
