Summary: The Network Engineer role is a 6-month contract position focused on supporting a business transition by managing network operations and onboarding new hardware. The position requires expertise in Cisco networking and various cloud technologies, with a strong emphasis on experience with firewalls and network protocols. The role is primarily remote, with occasional travel to the office in Leeds or Manchester. Applicants must hold a UK Passport.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the transition of the network and onboarding of new networking hardware.
• Manage Cisco networking and network management tasks.
• Implement and configure network protocols such as OSPF, BGP, and IS-IS.
• Work with Palo Alto firewalls, Azure Vnets, and cloud networking solutions.
• Assist with load balancing, WAN, and SD-WAN configurations.

Key Skills:

• Experience with Cisco networking and network management.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE.
• Knowledge of Palo Alto firewalls and Azure Vnets.
• Experience with cloud networking and load balancing.
• Proficiency in WAN and SD-WAN technologies.
