Summary: We are seeking an experienced Power BI Consultant with expertise in the Housing IT sector to support a strategic data transformation project for a reputable housing organization. The role involves designing and developing dashboards, integrating data sources, and enhancing data reporting capabilities to drive informed decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in delivering Power BI solutions within social housing or local authority environments and will work closely with various stakeholders. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment are essential for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop Power BI dashboards and reports tailored to housing operations
  • Work with internal stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and define KPIs
  • Integrate and harmonise data from various NEC Housing
  • Build data models that support robust self-service analytics
  • Conduct data quality checks and troubleshoot data discrepancies
  • Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI tools and functionality
  • Deliver end-to-end BI solutions to support decision making across housing services

Key Skills:

  • Strong expertise in Power BI, DAX, Power Query, and data modelling NEC Housing is essential
  • Experience working within Housing IT or similar public sector environments
  • In-depth understanding of social housing operations, business processes, and terminology
  • Proficiency in analysing and transforming data from housing management systems
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present insights to non-technical audiences

Overview We are seeking an experienced Power BI Consultant with strong knowledge of the Housing IT sector to support a strategic data transformation project. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a reputable housing organisation, helping them enhance their data reporting capabilities and drive data-informed decision making. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering Power BI solutions within social housing or local authority environments. You will be responsible for designing and developing dashboards, integrating multiple data sources, and supporting stakeholders in understanding and leveraging data insights. As a proactive problem-solver, you will also support the development of data models and work closely with cross-functional teams including Housing Officers, Finance, and Asset Management. The successful applicant will demonstrate strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to communicate complex data effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences. You should be comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, remote environment and committed to delivering high-quality output within agreed timeframes.
