Summary: The Manual QA Tester role involves joining a collaborative team on a 6-month contract, focusing on manual testing within the insurance sector. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform manual functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing across web-based and Back End applications.
- Review and analyse business requirements and technical specifications to create detailed and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Log, track, and manage defects using relevant tools, working closely with development teams to resolve issues.
- Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and product owners to ensure quality is maintained throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Contribute to release and sprint planning with accurate test estimates and risk assessments.
- Ensure test documentation is complete, consistent, and traceable to requirements.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in manual testing within agile and/or waterfall environments.
- Previous experience working in the financial services or insurance sector is essential.
- Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience testing APIs, databases, and UI-based systems.
- Familiarity with defect tracking tools such as JIRA or Azure DevOps.
- Excellent attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to work independently.
