Your New Role

We are currently supporting an innovative and rapidly growing technology organisation in the search for a highly skilled Machine Learning Engineer specialising in Computer Vision. This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking team focused on developing next-generation AI capabilities and transforming cutting-edge research into scalable commercial solutions. The successful candidate will play a key role in the development, optimisation, and deployment of advanced computer vision models, taking state-of-the-art foundation models and adapting them into high-performance production-ready features. Working closely with Product, Engineering, and AI teams, you will contribute directly to the future direction of the platform and help shape innovative visual AI functionality.

Ensuring Your Success

You will have strong commercial experience within Machine Learning and Computer Vision environments, with a proven ability to deploy scalable AI solutions into production. You will be confident working across the full ML lifecycle, from model experimentation and optimisation through to deployment and monitoring within cloud-based infrastructure. You will ideally possess:

  • 3+ years of commercial experience building and deploying Computer Vision systems.
  • Strong experience fine-tuning and adapting modern vision foundation models including SAM, YOLO, DETR architectures, or similar technologies.
  • Excellent Python development skills alongside deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
  • Experience using Computer Vision tooling including OpenCV.
  • Strong experience deploying ML models within AWS environments, including EC2 GPU infrastructure and SageMaker.
  • Knowledge of model optimisation tools such as TensorRT or ONNX.
  • Experience designing scalable data pipelines, preprocessing workflows, and dataset augmentation strategies.
  • Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies including Scrum/Kanban alongside tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work cross-functionally across technical and product teams.
  • Experience within MLOps environments, model monitoring, automated retraining pipelines, or ML version control frameworks such as MLflow or DVC would be highly advantageous.
  • Exposure to Life Sciences, Biotech, Medical Imaging, or Digital Pathology environments would also be beneficial, alongside experience with Vision-Language Models or multimodal AI systems.
