An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Procurement professional. You will gain deep insights into the full procurement management process and directly impact business results through key projects across four product categories. You'll be part of a global network of Buyers, sharing best practices internationally.Key Responsibilities:Support the Logistics Procurement Lead in executing the UK and Ireland category strategy.Manage internal stakeholders and strategically procure goods and services for specific logistics sub-categories.Handle supplier management and perform operational and tactical activities.Utilize C&P tools such as OneBuy, Zycus, Sedex, and promote B-Corp Accreditation.Manage tender processes, supplier relationships, contract negotiations, and contract lifecycle management.Identify improvements in sourcing and delivery processes.Competently use Microsoft Office, understand financial basics, and appreciate logistics and supply chains.Travel occasionally to various company locations and supplier sites.Education and Professional ExperienceIdeally CIPS qualified (or working towards), or equivalent.Previous procurement experience with a diverse range of suppliers.Experience at a similar level within a relevant industry is desirable but not essential.Proactive, highly motivated self-starter.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and networking skills.Commitment to deliverables and deadlines.Tenacity to see tasks through to completion.Effective team worker capable of interacting across different business levels.Get in touch with Ciara at the Advocate Group or APPLY NOW to be considered for this exciting vacancy. 020 7871 8000 Ciara@advocate-group.co.ukThe Advocate Group is a leading recruitment partner, based in the UK, to the FMCG and consumer product sectors.
