Summary: Sellick Partnership is seeking a Locum Education/SEN Lawyer to join a large legal services team within a local authority on a long-term contract basis. The role involves managing a caseload of SEN admission appeals and providing legal advice on various education law matters. The position is primarily remote, with flexibility for full-time or part-time work. Candidates with prior experience in SEN matters are preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing a caseload SEN admission appeals, with minimum supervision
  • Advise on Education law generally, including the preparation of proceedings in relation to Schools and Academies, parents, and pupils. This may include, but is not limited to advice about parental bans, exclusions, discrimination, and education law related matters
  • Conducting advocacy in the SEN Tribunal

Sellick Partnership are working with a well established large legal services team within a local authority who are looking for an Education Lawyer to join them on a locum basis, this will be an on-going long term contract.

The duties of the successful Education/SEN Lawyer will include;

  • Managing a caseload SEN admission appeals, with minimum supervision
  • Advise on Education law generally, including the preparation of proceedings in relation to Schools and Academies, parents, and pupils. This may include, but is not limited to advice about parental bans, exclusions, discrimination, and education law related matters
  • Conducting advocacy in the SEN Tribunal

Our client is seeking an experienced lawyer with previous experience dealing with SEN matters.

The successful Education/ SEN Lawyer will ideally be able to undertake this role on a full-time basis, however candidates seeking a part-time working pattern will be considered.
