Summary: The Linux Client Platform Engineer will lead initiatives to address security vulnerabilities in Linux endpoints, ensuring adherence to security policies and regulatory standards. This role requires collaboration with various internal and external teams to implement security measures effectively. The position is fully remote and focuses on achieving compliance by Q3 2025. The engineer will also provide technical support and maintain documentation for audit purposes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the implementation of security controls for Linux endpoints to achieve full compliance by Q3 2025.
- Collaborate with CIT, Infra, DART, infra security, identity, and CorpOps teams to ensure alignment and progress.
- Assess and implement Mobile Device Management (MDM) options and other control solutions.
- Apply CIS hardening benchmarks to all approved operating systems.
- Manage and enforce device certificate management and disk encryption solutions.
- Develop and execute a phased rollout plan for security controls, ensuring minimal disruption to users.
- Provide technical guidance and support to internal teams and stakeholders.
- Ensure all blocking actions log events for DART to use.
- Maintain documentation and reporting for audit and compliance purposes.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in Linux system administration and security.
- Strong understanding of security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001).
- Experience with MDM solutions and endpoint security tools (e.g., Jamf, Intune, FleetDM).
- Familiarity with CIS benchmarks and hardening practices.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
