Kafka Admin Architect (Confluent Focus)

Summary: We are looking for a Kafka Admin Architect with a focus on Confluent to manage the Kafka platform across hybrid environments. The role requires extensive experience in configuring, monitoring, and automating Kafka infrastructure to support critical applications. Candidates must have a minimum of 12 years of experience, particularly in distributed systems and Kafka administration. Key Responsibilities:

• Deploy and manage Kafka clusters using Confluent Platform.
• Set up and monitor brokers, Zookeeper/KRaft, Schema Registry, and Control Center.
• Handle topic configuration, security (RBAC, TLS/SASL), and auditing.
• Automate deployment and scaling using Helm, Ansible, or Terraform.
• Design DR and replication strategies with Confluent Replicator or Cluster Linking.

Key Skills:

• 5+ years in distributed systems/platform engineering.
• 2+ years Kafka administration with Confluent.
• Experience with Kafka internals, Kafka Connect, and Control Center.
• Scripting skills (Python, Bash) for automation.
• Proficiency with Prometheus, Grafana, or equivalent monitoring tools.
