Summary: The role of Instructional Designer involves transforming outdated SCORM-based compliance training into an adaptive learning experience for a client in the automotive sector. This fully remote position is a short-term contract lasting six weeks, ideal for experienced contractors who can quickly adapt and make an impact. The designer will develop high-quality assessment items and collaborate with learning technology specialists. The position requires demonstrable experience in instructional design, particularly in compliance or technical training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Modernising existing compliance training content into a dynamic, learner-focused format.
  • Developing 500–700 high-quality assessment items across five training modules.
  • Creating QTI-compliant multiple-choice questions (three easy, three medium, and three hard per topic).
  • Collaborating with learning technology specialists and receiving training on the company's proprietary authoring system.

Key Skills:

  • Demonstrable experience in instructional design, ideally in compliance or technical training.
  • Proven experience working with Automotive sector clients.

Instructional Designer – Learning Project

Fully Remote, 6 Weeks, Full Time Outside IR35, Day Rate Contract

Start: Monday 18th August

Instinct is working with a Learning Technology client who are seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to join an exciting short-term project partnering with an organisation in the automotive sector. This role is ideal for a seasoned contractor who thrives in fast-paced environments and can immediately make an impact. You’ll play a key role in transforming outdated SCORM-based compliance training into a cutting-edge, adaptive learning experience for the client’s workforce.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Modernising existing compliance training content into a dynamic, learner-focused format.
  • Developing 500–700 high-quality assessment items across five training modules.
