Summary: FDM is seeking a Senior Test Assurance Analyst for a remote role within the public sector, initially on a 6-month contract with potential for extension. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of test assurance activities across multiple projects and releases
  • Define and implement test assurance strategies, frameworks, and governance processes aligned with organizational quality standards
  • Review and validate test artefacts (e.g., test strategies, plans, scripts, and reports) to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with established methodologies
  • Provide independent oversight and assurance on the adequacy and effectiveness of test coverage, defect management, and test reporting
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to assess risks, identify gaps, and recommend improvements in testing processes and quality controls
  • Act as the point of escalation for complex testing issues, providing expert guidance and resolution
  • Support test environment and test data management activities to ensure readiness for all phases of testing
  • Monitor and report on quality metrics, highlighting trends, issues, and actionable recommendations
  • Mentor and coach junior analysts and testers to uplift testing capabilities across the organisation

Key Skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in software testing, including at least 2 years in a senior or assurance-focused role
  • In-depth knowledge of testing methodologies (e.g., ISTQB, TMAP, Agile Testing) and industry best practices
  • Proven ability to assess and assure testing deliverables across multiple platforms including web, mobile, and API services
  • Experience working with third-party vendors or outsourced test providers
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify risks, gaps, and areas for improvement
  • Demonstrated experience in test planning, defect management, and test execution oversight
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively
  • High level of proficiency in documentation and reporting, with strong attention to detail

This is initially a 6-month contract with the potential to extend and will be a remote role. Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Test Assurance Analyst to take a leading role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our technology solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, overseeing, and executing test assurance activities, working closely with the Product Manager, Delivery Lead, Developers, and Testers to ensure the client’s products meet the highest standards before release. This position requires strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a deep understanding of software testing methodologies, test governance, and quality assurance best practices.
