Summary: The Infrastructure Engineer/System Engineer/System Admin role is a remote position focused on supporting and documenting infrastructure systems while working within MST hours. Candidates should possess experience with Hyper-V, PowerShell, Active Directory, and Windows Servers, with additional skills in Ansible or Terraform being advantageous. The position requires a basic understanding of system architecture and the ability to manage incidents in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting and documenting infrastructure systems.
  • Understanding system architecture and the interplay between diverse services.
  • Experience with management tools such as Hyper-V Manager and FOC Manager.
  • Basic experience with Active Directory Users and Computers, and Azure AD.
  • Working knowledge of virtualized environments such as Hyper-V or VMWare.
  • Understanding of logging and monitoring and the relationship between health and performance.
  • Building and maintaining Windows Servers including system patching and security hardening.
  • Understanding of backup processes, including VM snapshots and OS level backups.
  • Basic understanding of scripting languages, preferably PowerShell.
  • Basic understanding of state management systems like Ansible or Terraform.
  • Basic skills in using code management repositories like Azure DevOps or GitHub.
  • Ability to identify and triage incidents.
  • Availability for on-call responsibilities.
  • Willingness to learn and work collaboratively with team members.
  • Experience working within the SCRUM or AGILE framework.

Key Skills:

  • Experience with Hyper-V and PowerShell.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory and Windows Servers.
  • Familiarity with Ansible or Terraform.
