Summary: The Infrastructure Engineer role is a 9-month contract focused on managing and administering Azure Entra ID environments and overseeing Active Directory infrastructure as part of a merger project. The position involves troubleshooting, documentation, and integration of IT systems while ensuring efficient network communication and security. Candidates should possess extensive experience in enterprise-scale directory services and backup solutions, along with strong analytical and communication skills. The role offers the possibility of extension based on client needs and can be fully remote for suitable UK-based candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and administer Azure Entra ID environments to ensure seamless identity and access solutions across the enterprise.
  • Oversee Active Directory infrastructure, including configuration, updates, and troubleshooting.
  • Administer enterprise backup solutions, leveraging tools such as Druva, Commvault, and AVEpoint for secure data management.
  • Configure and maintain DFS-N (Distributed File System - Namespace) for optimized file sharing.
  • Perform DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) and DNS (Domain Name System) administration, ensuring efficient network communication and security.
  • Lead initiatives to integrate IT infrastructure post-merger, ensuring systems operate cohesively while aligning with organizational goals.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex directory service issues in collaboration with other teams.
  • Document processes, configurations, and merger-specific solutions for internal knowledge sharing.

Key Skills:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience managing enterprise-scale directory services.
  • Extensive experience with Azure Entra ID, Active Directory, DFS-N, DHCP, and DNS administration.
  • Proven expertise with enterprise backup solutions such as Druva, Commvault, and AVEpoint.
  • Previous experience with IT systems integration during mergers or acquisitions, preferred.
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle high-level technical challenges.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration across teams and external stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of documentation.
