Summary: The Finance Business Partner – Costs role involves managing and interpreting cost data to enhance profitability within a fast-paced environment. The position requires collaboration with operational teams to identify efficiencies and improvements while ensuring accurate financial reporting. This is a 6-month fixed-term contract based in Crewe, with a focus on cost management and commercial finance projects. The role demands strong analytical skills and experience in business partnering.

Key Responsibilities:

• Full ownership of cost management, including insulation costs and device cost scheduling.
• Analyse and interpret P&L at a device level, providing meaningful insights.
• Work closely with operational teams to identify cost efficiencies and process improvements.
• Ensure financial data is accurately reflected in reporting and forecasting.
• Support ad-hoc projects related to cost management and commercial finance.
• Oversee monthly performance for installation, hardware, and service costs, identifying and actioning improvements.
• Report on telematics cost base performance and advise stakeholders on corrective actions.
• Drive process improvements in collaboration with operations and sales teams.
• Work with Financial Operations and Revenue teams to ensure zero leakage in the billing process.
• Support various commercial projects across Operations, Tech, and Finance.

Key Skills:

• Strong analytical and financial modelling skills.
• Minimum 3 years in a cost-focused commercial role.
• Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) or equivalent experience.
• Ability to handle and interpret large datasets.
• Proven experience in business partnering and driving efficiencies.
• Excellent communication and business partnering skills.
• Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
• A track record of driving process improvements.
