We are seeking an experienced IBM FileNet Developer to join our enterprise content management team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in FileNet P8 platform development, with a strong focus on building sophisticated workflows, custom integrations, and user interface customizations that enhance our document management capabilities.

Required Technical Skills

### FileNet Process Designer & Workflow Development

- 3+ years hands-on experience designing and implementing complex business workflows using IBM FileNet Process Designer
- Proficiency in creating process maps, component queues, and workflow rosters
- Experience with workflow step processors, event handlers, and subprocess integration
- Strong understanding of workflow versioning, deployment, and lifecycle management
- Ability to implement parallel processing, conditional routing, and exception handling within workflows
- Knowledge of workflow performance optimization and troubleshooting techniques

### Custom Integration & API Development

- Proven experience developing custom Java modules for FileNet integrations
- Strong proficiency with FileNet Content Platform Engine (CPE) and Process Engine (PE) APIs
- Experience integrating FileNet with external systems via web services
- Ability to develop custom event handlers and event actions using Java
- Knowledge of Content Platform Engine (CPE) API for document manipulation and metadata management

### Database Integration & Development

- Expert-level SQL Server integration experience for data lookups and synchronization
- Proficiency in writing complex stored procedures, views, and triggers
- Experience implementing database-driven workflow routing and decision logic
-Knowledge of connection pooling and database performance optimizations
- Ability to design and maintain auxiliary database schemas supporting FileNet operations
- Experience with JDBC connectivity and database transaction management

### Content Navigator Customization

- 3+ years experience customizing IBM Content Navigator (ICN) interfaces
- Proficiency in developing custom ICN plugins using Java and JavaScript
- Experience creating custom widgets using Dojo Toolkit framework
- Ability to implement custom viewers, search templates, and entry templates
- Knowledge of ICN feature customization including menus, toolbars, and context menus
- Experience with ICN theme customization and branding

## Additional Required Experience

### FileNet Platform Administration

- Experience with FileNet P8 architecture and deployment configurations
- Knowledge of object stores, document classes, and property templates
- Understanding of security models, access control, and authentication integration
- Familiarity with FileNet Administrator tools and system monitoring

### Development & Deployment

- Strong Java development skills (Java 8+) with Maven/Gradle build tools
- Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of application servers (WebSphere)
- Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3 for UI development
- Experience with Eclipse development environments
- Understanding of agile development methodologies and sprint-based delivery

## Preferred Qualifications

### Cloud & Modern Architecture

- Experience with cloud-based FileNet deployments (AWS)
- Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) for FileNet components
- Familiarity with serverless architectures and Lambda functions
- Experience with cloud storage integration (S3, Azure Blob)

### Advanced Technical Skills

- IBM FileNet certifications
- Knowledge of CMIS (Content Management Interoperability Services) standard
- Familiarity with GraphQL API development
- Experience with performance tuning and scalability optimization
- Knowledge of FileNet reports and analytics implementation

## Responsibilities

- Design and develop complex business process workflows using FileNet Process Designer
- Create custom Java modules and APIs for seamless integration with external enterprise systems
- Develop SQL Server database integrations for workflow routing and data lookups
- Build custom Content Navigator plugins and widgets to enhance user experience
- Collaborate with business analysts to translate requirements into technical specifications
- Participate and demonstrate completed tasks during code walkthrough sessions and ensure adherence to development best practices
- Create comprehensive technical documentation for all custom developments
- Optimize workflow performance and identify bottlenecks in document processing

## Education & Experience

- Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of enterprise content management experience
- 3+ years of hands-on IBM FileNet P8 development experience
- Demonstrable portfolio of FileNet implementations and custom solutions
