Summary: The role of Guidewire Billing QA Engineer involves validating configurations and workflows within Guidewire BillingCenter, ensuring high-quality delivery through comprehensive testing. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and E2E testing for Guidewire BillingCenter.
- Review business requirements, functional specifications, and create detailed test scenarios and test cases.
- Execute test cases and validate invoice generation, payments, refunds, write-offs, delinquency processes, and other billing workflows.
- Validate BillingCenter integrations with external systems (e.g., PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, Payment Gateways, DWH).
- Perform API testing using tools like Postman or SoapUI.
- Log, track, and validate defects using JIRA or ALM.
- Collaborate with developers, BAs, and cross-functional teams for root-cause analysis and test coverage.
- Work closely with onsite/offshore teams and participate in daily/weekly status calls.
- Contribute to automation (if required) for BillingCenter flows Selenium/Cucumber (good to have).
- Ensure compliance with organizational QA standards and best practices.
Key Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience in Guidewire BillingCenter testing.
- Good understanding of P&C Insurance domain and Billing lifecycle.
- Experience with functional, regression, and integration testing.
- Proficiency in SQL for backend data validation.
- Familiarity with API testing tools Postman / SoapUI.
