Summary: We are seeking an experienced Guidewire BillingCenter QA Engineer with expertise in testing applications within the Property & Casualty Insurance domain. The role involves validating business functionality, integrations, APIs, and backend data to ensure high-quality software delivery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various testing methodologies and tools, particularly related to Guidewire BillingCenter. Collaboration with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform Functional, Regression, System Integration, and End-to-End Testing for Guidewire BillingCenter implementations and enhancements.
- Analyze business requirements, create detailed test scenarios, test cases, and execute testing activities.
- Validate BillingCenter workflows, billing processes, invoicing, payments, collections, and account management functionalities.
- Conduct API Testing using tools such as Postman and SoapUI to validate service integrations and data exchange.
- Perform SQL queries and backend data validation to ensure data integrity and accuracy across systems.
- Identify, document, track, and verify defects using JIRA, ALM, or similar test management tools.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, and other QA team members throughout the SDLC and Agile lifecycle.
- Participate in requirement reviews, test planning, defect triage meetings, and release validation activities.
- Support UAT, production validation, and post-deployment testing activities.
Key Skills:
- 5+ years of QA/Test Engineering experience with at least 3 years of Guidewire BillingCenter testing experience.
- Strong knowledge of Functional, Regression, Integration, and System Testing methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with API Testing using Postman and/or SoapUI.
- Strong SQL skills for database validation and backend testing.
- Experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as JIRA, ALM, or Azure DevOps.
- Good understanding of Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance business processes.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Any Cloud Certification (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) is required.
