Summary: The Full Stack ETL Developer role involves advanced analysis and programming to design, create, and maintain software applications for the Texas Early Childhood Integrated Data System (ECIDS) project. The position requires expertise in ETL processes, SQL Server or Oracle, and various programming frameworks, with a focus on collaboration within an Agile environment. The developer will also be responsible for technical documentation and ensuring adherence to industry standards. This is a remote position based in Austin, TX, for a duration of 12 months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform technical analysis by reviewing user requirements and creating design documents.
  • Code according to TEA and industry standards, best practices, and customer requirements.
  • Conduct testing to verify that software matches requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including design documents and project plans.
  • Collaborate with the project team on sprint/release tasks, including development estimates and defect resolution.
  • Identify technical specifications and data integration requirements for implementation.
  • Map next steps for system design and establish data governance structure for ECIDS.

Key Skills:

  • Creating ETL processes and managing large data sets.
  • Experience with SQL Server or Oracle stored procedures, PL/SQL, and Dynamic SQL.
  • Proficiency in .NET Core or Java frameworks.
  • Knowledge of XML, JSON, API Testing, JavaScript, and JQuery.

Job Description:
The Senior Full-stack Developer will perform advanced analysis and programming work involving all technical aspects of designing, creating and maintaining software applications.
This position will work with the Texas Early Childhood Integrated Data System (ECIDS) project team to provide the following Software Development Services:
1) Perform technical analysis by reviewing the user requirements and create design documents.
2) Perform coding adhering to TEA and industry standards, best practices, and customer requirements.
3) Perform testing verifying they match the requirements, as necessary.
4) Prepare and maintain technical documentation as required (i.e. design documents, process flows, object or data models, project plans, environment diagrams, test plans, etc.)
5) Collaborate with the project team for sprint/release work on tasks such as providing development effort estimates, discussing architecture and design, triaging, and resolving defects or issues in multiple environments and providing status on work assignments or issues.

This work will include identifying the technical specifications and data integration requirements needed for implementation, including mapping the next steps for system design, identifying the methodology necessary to establish an ECDIS in the state, and building the data governance structure that will support an ECIDS.
