Summary: We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect for a remote contract role supporting a high-profile digital transformation programme in a large, complex environment. The position offers the opportunity to work outside IR35, providing flexibility and a competitive day rate based on experience. The role involves collaborating with stakeholders to define technology roadmaps and ensuring alignment with business objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Enterprise Architecture and excellent stakeholder management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with customers and senior stakeholders to define technology roadmaps that align with business capabilities and strategic goals.
- Ensure architecture and technology strategies are aligned with broader business objectives.
- Act as a trusted advisor across the organisation, helping to drive technology-enabled change.
- Document Enterprise Architecture in appropriate tooling and ensure architecture models are up to date for both internal and customer-facing projects.
- Collaborate with other architecture disciplines to develop costed solution options addressing capability gaps.
- Support the shaping of internal strategic initiatives and provide architectural direction.
- Provide EA support to delivery teams working on complex, customer-facing programmes.
- Contribute to IT strategy definition and ensure alignment with business roadmaps and capabilities.
- Assist with early-stage planning and indicative sizing of initiatives in collaboration with PMO.
- Support bid teams by producing architectural models tailored to customer requirements.
- Lead virtual, cross-functional teams on business-led initiatives with a customer-centric mindset.
Key Skills:
- Strong background in Enterprise Architecture across complex organisations.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, particularly with senior and non-technical stakeholders.
- Worked within Manufacturing, Automotive or Utilities sector.
- Experience with architecture modelling tools and frameworks (eg, TOGAF, ArchiMate).
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting while staying highly engaged with the wider team.
- Demonstrated ability to bridge the gap between strategy and delivery.
