Summary: The EHR Epic Analyst role requires a Technical Specialist who is Epic-certified to build and support various EpicCare Inpatient modules, including Clinical Documentation, Clinical Case Management, and Behavioral Health. The position involves coordinating issues during the project, serving as the primary contact for end-users, and ensuring effective communication with Epic representatives. Candidates must possess extensive experience in health IT and Epic implementation, along with a deep understanding of clinical workflows and regulatory requirements. Only Epic-certified candidates will be considered for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary support contact for the application's end-users
  • Develop, design, configure, script, test, and support applications for business functions
  • Evaluate hardware availability and software requirements
  • Identify and resolve issues that arise in the application
  • Guide workflow design, build and test the system, and analyze technical issues
  • Implement requested changes to the system
  • Act as a liaison between end users' workflow needs and Epic implementation staff
  • Maintain communication with Epic representatives and participate in project team meetings
  • Understand operational needs to direct workflows through site visits and integrated sessions
  • Review project status and issues with leadership
  • Hold weekly communications with team members regarding deliverables and concerns

Key Skills:

  • Epic certification in EpicCare Inpatient Clinical Documentation, Clinical Case Management, and Behavioral Health
  • 8 years of Epic implementation or operations support experience
  • 8 years of Health IT experience
  • 5 years familiarity with Epic tools: Clinical Case Management, Rover, MyChart Bedside, Behavioral Health, and Epic Monitor
  • 8 years knowledge of clinical workflows
  • 5 years knowledge of clinical & regulatory requirements for behavioral health settings
  • 5 years knowledge of typical billing workflows
  • 8 years working knowledge in application development and system integration
  • 8 years thorough knowledge of assigned data and system usage
  • 8 years skilled in enterprise systems and best business practices
  • 8 years working knowledge of security protocols for systems
  • 8 years working knowledge of current system architecture for troubleshooting
  • 8 years working knowledge of business functions and system needs
  • 8 years ability to manage timelines, financial resources, and project activities
  • 8 years experience in the entire development process
  • 5 years experience in coordinating computer systems and application design
  • 8 years experience in assessing user needs through discussions
  • 8 years ability to convey technical information to clients
  • 8 years software quality assurance/testing experience
