Summary: The role of DevOps/DataDog Consultant involves leading the integration of Datadog for application monitoring and logging within .NET microservices hosted in Azure. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the integration of Datadog for application monitoring and logging across .NET microservices in Azure
- Configure and manage log ingestion pipelines, ensuring logs are structured, tagged, and presented effectively in Datadog
- Collaborate with data engineers to define and extract meaningful metrics that support performance monitoring and system health
- Ensure applications are running smoothly and reliably by leveraging Datadog dashboards, alerts, and analytics
- Work with Azure logging tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, Application Insights) and integrate them with Datadog
- Assist in designing and implementing monitoring architecture and best practices for hybrid cloud environments
- Contribute to the configuration and integration of servers and services with Datadog
- Provide guidance on log formatting standards and help teams adopt consistent logging practices
- Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis using Datadog metrics and logs
Key Skills:
- Proven experience with Datadog, especially in configuring logs, dashboards, and alerts
- Strong understanding of logging strategies and how to present logs effectively in Datadog
- Experience working in Azure cloud environments, particularly with .NET microservices
- Familiarity with C# environments (no development required)
- Knowledge of hybrid cloud architectures and server integrations

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
