Key Responsibilities:
- Review complex medical exam reports to confirm completeness and accuracy.
- Document quality issues, and escalate to management as needed.
- Interact with healthcare providers to provide report-specific feedback and assist in revising medical exam reports.
- Review more complex cases that are escalated from other review team members.
- Meet individual productivity goals.
- Follow and maintain up-to-date knowledge of SOPs and policies.
- Maintain a high degree of quality with each review as measured by internal quality auditing.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Key Skills:
- Deep knowledge of medical terminology, knowledge of medical conditions, quality assurance terminology, methods, and tools.
- Good computer skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Experience in a medical setting (e.g., biller, coder).
- 6 months of experience conducting Quality Assurance (QA) reviews of DBQs in accordance with VA and MDE requirements.

Location: Remote
Work type: Long term contract on W2 (40hr/week)
Pay rate : $17/hr on w2
Working hours : 9 AM EST TO 5:30 PM EST - 8 hours shift (Monday to Friday)
Overview
The DBQ (Disability Benefits Questionnaire) Reviewer will collaborate with medical professionals to support the completeness and accuracy of complex medical documentation and examination processes. They will confirm that the veteran has been examined for all medical issues listed, the medical provider has utilized the appropriate reporting form, and documentation is completed in accordance with established standards.
