Summary: The role of Contract Management Consultant in the Energy Industry involves consulting for a newly established contract management department and participating in an EM implementation project. The consultant will be responsible for establishing trading relationships, negotiating various agreements, and coordinating with support functions. Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain trading relationships with counterparts, including negotiation of master trading agreements
- Coordinate novation with counterparties
- Negotiate collateral documents
- Negotiate agreements with Energy Exchanges
- Negotiate brokerage agreements
- Act as a coordinating interface between various support functions (e.g. legal, accounting, tax, regulatory, compliance)
Key Skills:
- Experience in the energy industry
- Experience with contract negotiations
- Legal background required
- Fluency in English
- German language skills advantageous
- Lawyer qualification advantageous
- Experience with stock exchanges advantageous
