Summary: The Mechanical Fitter role in Knaresborough involves rectifying mechanical asset issues and performing fabrication work on a temporary full-time basis. Key Responsibilities:
- Rectifying mechanical asset problems (conveyor belts, pumps, gearboxes, valves, cranes)
- Performing fabrication work and general workshop duties
- Handling PPM and reactive maintenance, maintaining high standards
- Participating in planned outages
- Operating workshop machinery, fabrication, and refurbishment
- Promptly communicating problems for quick resolution
- Contributing to Maintenance Team KPIs
- Using the site CMMS system effectively
- Participating in team briefings and toolbox talks
- Ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental standards
- Working safely under a safe system of work
- Reporting accidents, incidents, and near misses
