Summary: The Business Change Manager role involves leading change initiatives within a central government department undergoing significant internal transformations. The position requires active SC clearance and focuses on aligning teams and stakeholders with a unified vision while tracking the benefits of change. The successful candidate will also advise senior management on decision-making elements relevant to the change process. This role is primarily remote, with occasional on-site meetings required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead change initiatives and align affected teams and stakeholders with a unified vision.
  • Identify and track beneficial changes and outcomes, reporting back to management using performance metrics.
  • Advise senior management on relevant elements affecting decision-making during the change process.
  • Prepare public servants for new ways of working and support them during the implementation of new processes.
  • Support stakeholders at team leader level to ensure technical readiness for change.

Key Skills:

  • Active SC clearance (essential).
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Change Manager.
  • Experience working within government departments and GDS.
  • Strong client-facing experience, ideally from a consultancy background.
  • Ability to prepare and support public servants during change implementation.
  • Capability to support team leaders in imparting knowledge to their teams.
