Summary: The Business Analyst will play a crucial role in a national reform programme aimed at enhancing vetting processes across law enforcement and public services. This position involves leading stakeholder engagement, defining business requirements, and supporting the implementation of innovative solutions. The role is remote with occasional travel for workshops and meetings, and it offers the opportunity to contribute to significant national change. The contract is for 12 months with a potential extension and is classified as outside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead stakeholder engagement to understand existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Define and document clear business requirements across multiple workstreams including automation, psychometric testing, and social media vetting.
  • Create detailed process maps, user stories, and workflows to inform system integration and policy development.
  • Support development and pilot implementation of innovative solutions for vetting and data quality.
  • Contribute to training strategies and assurance frameworks to enable consistent national standards.

Key Skills:

  • Strong experience as a Business Analyst on public sector or large-scale transformation programmes.
  • Exceptional analytical and communication skills, with experience leading requirements workshops.
  • Solid understanding of systems integration and process redesign.
  • Ability to navigate complex stakeholder landscapes and influence change.
  • Experience with automation, compliance, or vetting-related projects is a significant plus.
