Summary: The role of Business Analyst for the IHSS Automation project involves providing subject matter expertise and performing business analysis work. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to assess and develop business processes, create user acceptance testing, and support the systems development life cycle. The analyst will also be responsible for analyzing program policies, reviewing project deliverables, and identifying project risks. This position is remote or based in Austin, Texas, and requires extensive experience in business analysis and technical documentation.

The Worker will serve as a Business Analyst for the IHSS Automation project. The Worker will report directly to the PASRR Director and work with IDD Services and PASRR program staff, Product Owner, sprint teams, and other project stakeholders as needed to provide subject matter expertise; perform business analysis work; review, assess, and develop business processes; create and validate user acceptance testing; and provide support for the systems development life cycle.
The Worker will provide Business Analyst services that include, but are not limited to, the following:
A. Analyzes program policies and procedures to determine their effect on automated systems and system functional areas.
B. Analyzes and reviews complex project deliverables such as project charters, business user requirements, design documentation, test plans, and risk assessment plans to ensure business requirements are met.
C. Serves as liaison by providing consultation, documentation, and direction regarding analysis, design, configuration, testing, and policy implementation of the system.
D. Develops, documents, and revises system design procedures, test procedures, and quality standards.
E. Identifies and prioritizes the product backlog to ensure efficient use of resources.
F. Creates test plans that accurately map back to the documented business requirements or user stories.
G. Participates in user acceptance testing and testing of new system functionality.
H. Tracks, documents, and reports status of testing.
I. Identifies potential project risks and difficulties, and designs strategies to mitigate or avoid them.
J. May develop training curriculum and conduct formal training sessions covering assigned systems module.
K. Performs related work as assigned.
CANDIDATE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
8Years-Required-Experience in performing complex business analysis and writing technical documentation.
