Summary: The Azure APIM Developer (Axway Migration) role focuses on building and migrating APIs from Axway to Azure API Management (APIM). The position requires expertise in backend logic development using C# and XML, as well as implementing secure authentication methods. The developer will collaborate with DevOps teams and utilize various Azure services while ensuring compliance with security standards and effective API management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs aligned with enterprise standards.
- Create and manage API proxies, routes, and policies within the APIM platform.
- Implement API versioning, throttling, caching, transformation, and routing.
- Implement security mechanisms such as OAuth 2.0, JWT, mutual SSL, mTLS, and RBAC.
- Manage certificates, keys, and secrets for secure API communication.
- Ensure APIs comply with security audit and governance standards.
- Configure and manage API gateways, clusters, and environments (Dev/Test/Prod).
- Deploy APIs using CI/CD pipelines and automate releases.
- Monitor API performance, logs, and usage metrics.
- Integrate APIs with microservices backend systems and cloud services.
- Troubleshoot and resolve API-related issues and performance bottlenecks.
- Create and maintain API documentation using Swagger/OpenAPI.
- Ensure CMDB and technical documentation are updated.
- Participate in audits and governance reviews for APIM compliance.
Key Skills:
- Strong experience with API Management platforms (Azure API Management, Axway, MuleSoft, Apigee).
- Hands-on experience with REST APIs and microservices.
- Strong understanding of API security (OAuth 2.0, JWT).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
