Summary: The role of Sr. Analyst (Lead) at Aspire Systems involves leveraging extensive software development experience to conduct security code reviews and perform vulnerability assessments across various programming languages and platforms. The position requires collaboration with both technical and non-technical stakeholders while adhering to Agile methodologies. This is a remote position based in the USA, focusing on enhancing application security through technical expertise and problem-solving skills. The contract duration is set for 3 months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct security code reviews in one or more programming languages including Java, Dart, JavaScript, Typescript, Python, Go, Kotlin.
  • Utilize tools such as Node.js, GitHub, GitHub Actions, GitHub Advanced Security, Kubernetes, and Docker.
  • Assess vulnerabilities in cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure) and SQL databases, and work with RESTful APIs and version control systems.
  • Perform technical vulnerability and penetration testing for web applications.
  • Apply knowledge of cryptographic algorithms and their potential misuse.
  • Utilize Burp Suite Pro and adhere to OWASP Top 10 best practices.
  • Implement Agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban.
  • Debug complex issues and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills.
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Design and architect complex software systems.

Job Description:

  • Proven experience in software development, with the ability to conduct security code reviews in one or more of the following languages: Java, Dart, JavaScript, Typescript, Python, Go, Kotlin
  • Experience with Node.js, GitHub, GitHub Actions, GitHub Advanced Security, Kubernetes, Docker
  • Working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure, etc.) and how to exploit vulnerabilities within those environments, experience with SQL databases, RESTful APIs, version control systems such as: GitHub
  • Deep, technical vulnerability and penetration testing skills for web apps (XSS, SQLI, CSRF, SSRF, XXE, IDOR, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of cryptographic algorithms (AES, SHA, HMAC, RSA, ECC, etc.) and how to exploit their misuse
  • Strong familiarity with Burp Suite Pro
  • Strong familiarity with OWASP Top 10 and industry best practices
  • Experience with Agile methodologies i.e., Scrum, Kanban
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug complex issues
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience in designing, architecting complex software systems
