Summary: The Application Developer role focuses on designing, developing, testing, deploying, and supporting integration services and workflows on the Integration Platform. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to translate business needs into technical designs and enhance the platform's capabilities. The ideal candidate should have experience in building integrations and applying secure development practices, particularly within the healthcare payer domain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and support integration services and workflows on the Integration Platform.
- Partner with multiple portfolios and business/technical stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical designs.
- Enhance and extend the platform as deliverables become more complex and improve operational supportability through monitoring and logging.
- Provide timely production support as a technical SME for key application areas.
- Support multiple deliverables across the XH initiatives and assist with the development using the new Integration platform.
- Involve in enhancements to the new Integration Platform as advanced deliverables are received.
- Support technical SME needs for MDM and ITS, addressing immediate technical support requirements.
- Develop and implement new integration business requirements as new lines of business and clients are onboarded.
- Ensure compliance through continuous upgrades for technology initiated due to security and auditing risks.
- Develop technical support SMEs for additional application areas as the business grows.
Key Skills:
- Experience with AWS, Node.js, Java, JavaScript, Python, Lambda, API's, ETL (AWS Glue), Terraform, SQL, PySpark, and Spark SQL.
- Proficiency in tools such as Gitlab, Jira, and Github Co-Pilot.
- Experience in building integrations (APIs, batch/file-based, and messaging/event-driven patterns).
- Knowledge of secure development practices.
- Healthcare payer domain experience.

Strategic Projects - XH
- This position would support multiple deliverables across the XH initiatives. They would assist with the support and development using the new Integration platform. There is an immediate need for integration and development in the provider platform, but other Portfolios are starting to request assistance.
- They would also be involved with enhancements to the new Integration Platform as we receive more advanced deliverables.
- This position would also help support the technical SME for both MDM and ITS. These areas often have technical support needs which require immediate attention.
Long Term Support
- As we continue to implement new lines of business and onboard new clients, our integration will continue to evolve. It will be critical for this role to develop and implement new integration business requirements and enhance the new Integration platform for more enhanced deliverable requests.
- Our development staff has continuous upgrades for technology which are often initiated due to security and auditing risks. These changes are critical to ensure applications compliance.
- We need to ensure to develop technical support SME s for additional applications areas such as Product & Benefits, MDM, ITS and provider as we grow our business. Getting this person onboard now would allow us to develop this resource as we implement LOB s.
