Summary: The role of ETL Ab Initio Developer involves hands-on experience in Ab Initio ETL projects, focusing on solution design and development. The position requires proficiency in SQL and Unix shell scripting, along with a strong understanding of various Ab Initio components and parallelism techniques. The developer will work independently to address project requirements and ensure quality standards throughout the project lifecycle. This is a 4-5 month contract position with a high possibility of extension, primarily remote.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hands-on experience in Ab Initio ETL Projects, including solution design and development.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in SQL and Unix shell scripting.
  • Excellent grasp on all components of Ab Initio - GDE, PSETS, PDL Programming, Meta Programming, etc.
  • Good understanding of various Ab Initio parallelism techniques.
  • Proficient in Ab Initio ETL & Database technologies, sharing expertise with the team.
  • Experience in end-to-end implementation of DW BI projects, particularly in data warehouse and mart developments.
  • Knowledge and experience with the full SDLC lifecycle.
  • Work proactively and independently to address project requirements and articulate issues/challenges.
  • Provide expertise in technical analysis and solving issues during project delivery.
  • Prepare for code review, test case reviews, and ensure code meets requirements.
  • Ensure quality, standards, and version control by following the process.
  • Deliver high-level and detailed ETL design documents, ETL code development, release notes, unit test cases and results, runbooks/user guides, deployment guides, code review results, tag requests and approvals, and requirement traceability matrix.

Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in SQL, Unix shell scripting.
