Summary: This role is for a Recruiter based in Birmingham City Centre, focusing on both temporary and permanent recruitment within an in-house Talent and Recruitment function. The position requires collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to support the Talent Acquisition Specialist and HR Business Partners. The ideal candidate should have prior recruitment experience and be able to manage a fast-paced environment effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with Talent Acquisition Specialist and hiring managers to fulfill recruitment requirements.
  • Conduct telephone screenings and shortlist candidates for hiring managers.
  • Create a talent pool for future opportunities.
  • Lead on managing early careers, internship, and apprenticeship programs.
  • Coordinate and attend careers fairs.
  • Arrange and prepare for interviews for shortlisted candidates.
  • Provide hiring managers and HR Business Partners with weekly vacancy updates.
  • Report data on applications, interviews, confirmations, and start dates.
  • Administer the ATS for allocated vacancies.
  • Track application progress via the ATS.
  • Engage with PSL agencies for temporary and permanent vacancies.
  • Support the HR team with administrative tasks.

Key Skills:

  • Previous Recruitment or HR Administration experience.
  • Experience in recruiting for hard-to-fill roles.
  • Proficiency in Workday / myHR.
  • Ability to manage a heavy workload and meet deadlines.
  • Good knowledge of relevant IT systems and Microsoft packages, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proactive team player contributing to overall team goals.
