Summary: The role of Assurance Engineer involves ensuring compliance with ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems and requires candidates to have a manufacturing background, particularly in Nuclear or highly regulated industries. The position offers a long-term contracting opportunity with hybrid working arrangements, allowing for a flexible schedule of two days in the office and two days from home. Candidates must also be eligible for BPSS/SC clearance and possess relevant qualifications and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems.
  • Implement and maintain effective FOD/CFSI controls.
  • Identify root causes using methodologies such as 5 Whys, fishbone diagrams, and 8D problem-solving.
  • Apply knowledge of management systems structures in practice.
  • Work within a manufacturing environment, particularly in Nuclear or regulated industries.
  • Assist in achieving ISO 1090 and ISO 3834 welding standards.
  • Prepare for BPSS/SC clearance requirements.

Key Skills:

  • ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems Lead or Internal Auditor (QCI and IRCA Certified).
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Nuclear or highly regulated industries.
  • Manufacturing background.
  • Experience with FOD/CFSI controls.
  • Root cause analysis skills using 5 Whys, fishbone, and 8D methodologies.
  • Knowledge of management systems structures.
  • Desirable: Six Sigma Yellow Belt, ISO 1090, and ISO 3834 knowledge.
  • Eligibility for BPSS/SC clearance as a sole British National.
