Summary: The Quality Analyst role within the IT team focuses on supporting software delivery for both existing platforms and new products. The position involves collaborating with business analysts, developers, and other quality analysts to implement testing strategies throughout the development lifecycle. This is a six-month fixed-term contract with the possibility of extension, and it offers a hybrid working arrangement across multiple office locations. Key responsibilities include executing test cases, reporting bugs, and conducting post-release testing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyse system specifications
- Evaluate software delivered against specifications
- Collaborate with the team to develop effective strategies and test plans
- Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyse results
- Report bugs and errors to development teams
- Document testing phases and defects
- Help to reproduce and troubleshoot issues
- Conduct post-release/post-implementation testing
Key Skills:
- Knowledge of a range of test tools and methodologies
- Working understanding of test automation
- End-to-end test lifecycle experience
- Relevant GCSE, A level or QA qualifications or proven experience in a similar role
- Experience of working in an agile team environment and understanding of Agile Development concepts
- Experience of software development in financial services
