Summary: The QA/QC Engineer role involves developing, implementing, and monitoring quality assurance and quality control procedures for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems in large-scale construction projects. The engineer will conduct inspections, review documentation, and coordinate with subcontractors to ensure compliance with project specifications and UK regulations. This position requires strong analytical skills and attention to detail to resolve quality-related issues effectively. The role also includes maintaining proper documentation and assisting in commissioning and handover procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor QA/QC procedures for MEP systems.
  • Conduct inspections and quality checks on MEP installations.
  • Review and verify MEP shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements.
  • Perform site audits and issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
  • Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Implement and maintain inspection and testing plans (ITP) for MEP installations.
  • Ensure proper documentation of QA/QC records, test reports, and approvals.
  • Assist in commissioning and handover procedures.
  • Work closely with project teams to resolve quality-related issues.
  • Ensure adherence to UK MEP regulations and safety standards.

Key Skills:

  • Degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or MEP Engineering.
  • Proven experience in QA/QC for MEP systems in large-scale construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of MEP quality standards and inspection processes.
  • Familiarity with UK regulations, codes, and industry best practices.
  • Experience in NCR management and corrective action implementation.
  • Ability to review and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and reporting abilities.
  • Valid work permit to work in the UK.
