Summary: The Project Planner is a pivotal role focused on the effective planning and scheduling of projects in the data, defence, and energy sectors. The position requires a highly skilled construction planner with extensive experience in project scheduling, particularly in MEP and civil projects. The candidate will collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure project timelines are realistic and optimized for efficiency. This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, combining remote and site-based work as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain baseline project schedules to support on-time and on-budget project delivery.
• Work closely with Project Managers and Engineers to ensure project timelines are achievable and risks are identified.
• Provide schedule analysis and reporting, including what-if scenarios and look-ahead plans.
• Assist with contractor claims management and schedule-related documentation.
• Support pre-construction planning, including logistics, sequencing, and temporary services schedules.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in planning processes and provide training in best practices.

Key Skills:

• Degree or HNC in Construction Management or a related field.
• At least 8 years of experience in project scheduling, ideally within MEP and civil projects.
• Expert knowledge of scheduling software, including MS Project and Primavera (P6).
• Experience using Power BI and ASTA for reporting and data analysis.
• Strong knowledge of project management processes and contract management (NEC3/4 and FIDIC).
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, integrating schedules across a portfolio.
• CSCS card (required) and Asbestos Awareness (preferred).
• Experience in SharePoint and working on live documents online.

Salary (Rate): £85,000.00
