Summary: The Infrastructure Project Manager role focuses on managing IT infrastructure and network projects with a strong emphasis on Cisco technologies within the financial services sector. The position requires a proactive leader who can effectively collaborate with various stakeholders and drive projects to completion. The ideal candidate should possess extensive experience in project management and a solid understanding of networking concepts. This is a hybrid role based in London, requiring three days in the office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage end-to-end IT infrastructure and Network related projects, with a strong focus and understanding of Cisco based environments and networking concepts
  • Own project scope, timelines, risks and deliverables of assigned medium-large IT projects
  • Be the primary point and accountability for assigned projects, proactively identifying and resolving issues needed to meet project timelines and expectations
  • Collaborate with network engineers, security teams, vendors, other IT teams, business sponsors, PMO and Head Office, as needed to ensure successful project delivery
  • Manage process, system and people changes effectively into impacted business areas.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across multiple offices and regions.
  • Managing internal and external resources in a matrix organisation project structure.
  • Ensure projects are tracked and delivered to meet Programme level and / or business requirements, on time against project milestones and within approved budget.
  • Manage project governance including project charters, schedules (Gantt chart), status reporting, documentation and stakeholder communication, as well as reporting to Project Steering Committees, IT Senior Management and C-Suite level stakeholders as required
  • Identification and management of risks, issues, dependencies and assumptions ensuring the correct actions are taken and escalating when required

Key Skills:

  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in delivering IT projects/programmes.
  • Relevant Project management qualification (APM, PMP etc).
  • Knowledge of network, network security, compliance and regulatory frameworks
  • Technical background or prior hands-on engineering experience preferred
  • Good understanding and experience of end-to-end project management methodologies including waterfall and agile (Scrum and Kanban ceremonies).
  • Experience of managing change into business teams.
  • Sound knowledge of IT functions
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Project Manager with strong knowledge of Cisco Network concepts, with a background in the financial services industry. This role requires a self-starter who thrives on accountability and delivering results. They will be hands-on manager who takes full ownership of the projects they are assigned to lead, able to keep projects moving forward and drives delivery through to completion.

They will be able to collaborate effectively with technical, business stakeholders, and senior management.

The ideal candidate is proactive, able to be detailed orientated when required, and comfortable operating in regulated environments.

Duties and Responsibilities
