Key Responsibilities:

  • Support quality leadership in achieving programme and functional objectives
  • Provide oversight of in-service and returns-related quality activities
  • Assist with non-conformance investigations and corrective action processes
  • Review and maintain quality documentation in line with regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Supply Chain and Operations teams
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure delivery of compliant products aligned with safety, cost, and schedule requirements

Key Skills:

  • Strong working knowledge of AS9100 / ISO9001 standards
  • Experience with structured problem-solving and corrective action methodologies
  • The ability to interpret complex data and translate it into practical solutions
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • A detail-oriented, analytical mindset
  • Security cleared or eligible to be security cleared - Essential requirement

Contract Quality Engineer Customer Support & Service Solutions team Essex HQ (Hybrid remote working 4 days a week onsite) Up to £40 p/h Inside IR35 An exciting contract opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quality Engineer to join a high-performing team supporting complex, in-service aerospace platforms within the defence sector. Working at IPT level, you’ll play a key role in assuring quality across a range of technically advanced projects, collaborating closely with Operations and wider functional teams to maintain the highest standards of compliance, safety, and performance.

The Opportunity This role offers the chance to contribute to critical in-service support activities across multiple programmes within a fast-paced, highly regulated environment. You will act as a focal point for quality assurance activities, ensuring robust processes, effective investigation of issues, and adherence to industry and customer standards.
