Summary: We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee multiple programmes of work within a Tier 1 banking client environment, ensuring financial and outcome accountability. The role involves building relationships with senior stakeholders, leading multidisciplinary teams, and managing all aspects of project execution. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT infrastructure projects and financial analysis. This position is based in Sheffield, UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders within IT, Global Businesses, and Finance.
  • Work closely with the respective Portfolio Manager and their senior stakeholders to align projects and programmes with the wider change portfolio and group strategy, values, and behaviour.
  • Provide board-level overview of progress, lead and direct multidisciplinary teams across all global businesses, global functions, and regions.
  • Lead end-to-end execution and responsibility for all aspects of the project/programme, including definition, planning, execution & implementation, governance & control, financial, resource and change management.
  • Provide financial analysis, contextualising financial data into business activities and conclusions.
  • Identify and escalate any budgetary related risks, issues, and opportunities to the portfolio/function as appropriate.

Key Skills:

  • Outstanding project and programme management experience with IT Infrastructure projects.
  • Excellent understanding and proven experience of Programme and Project Management methodologies including Waterfall and Agile.
  • Proven experience of positive, challenging interactions with Senior Executives across the business.
  • Outstanding relationship management, collaboration, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to articulate complex issues concisely and in simple language.
  • Financial analytical background with proven ability in financial/analytical reasoning.
  • Experience delivering large scale change programmes within a Technology organisation, with Infrastructure experience.
  • Experience leading and managing diverse, cross-functional teams located regionally and worldwide.
