What you'll do:

As a Project Manager - Technology Management based in Glasgow, you will play a central role in enabling the development and deployment of GenAI solutions across the organisation's technology landscape. Your day-to-day activities will involve close collaboration with cross-functional teams to plan projects effectively using industry-leading tools like JIRA and Roadmunk. You will be instrumental in clarifying expectations for deliverables while proactively identifying obstacles that could impede progress. By maintaining robust documentation and providing timely updates to stakeholders, you will ensure everyone remains informed and engaged. • Develop comprehensive project plans using tools such as JIRA and Roadmunk to enhance transparency around delivery status, risks, and issues across multiple technology initiatives.
• Clearly define deliverables, expected outcomes, roles, and responsibilities to ensure all stakeholders are aligned throughout each phase of project execution.
• Assist teams in identifying and removing both technical and organisational impediments that may hinder progress or impact successful delivery.
• Facilitate effective interactions between teams, partners, stakeholders, and peers to promote open communication and shared understanding of objectives.
• Maintain detailed project documentation and provide regular updates on progress to key stakeholders through clear reporting mechanisms.
• Foster a collaborative culture by encouraging knowledge sharing, celebrating team successes, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
• Utilise metrics and tooling to identify trends, monitor performance, and uncover opportunities for process optimisation within project teams.

• Proficiency with JIRA for work tracking as well as familiarity with other delivery tools such as Roadmunk or Rally to support planning and transparency.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills that enable you to engage effectively with diverse audiences including technical teams, stakeholders, and senior leaders.
• Ability to influence behaviours positively without relying on formal authority or hierarchical structures within the organisation.
• Expertise in building relationships across departments by nurturing trust-based connections that facilitate cooperation on shared goals.
• Dedication to cross-functional collaboration with a proven track record of breaking down silos through open communication channels.
• Understanding of technical concepts related to data infrastructure, GenAI technologies (including LLMs), vendor solutions versus in-house builds.
• Experience working within financial services or on large-scale transformation projects is highly desirable for this position.
• A minimum of 4-6 years' experience as a technical project manager overseeing complex technology initiatives from inception through completion.
