Summary: Recruitment Direct UK Ltd is seeking an experienced Project Manager for a Local Authority Client in Hampshire. The role requires overseeing the project life cycle of NEC contracts, managing communications, and providing technical advice while ensuring compliance with various regulations. Candidates must possess a degree in Civil Engineering and relevant project management experience, particularly in highway improvement and maintenance projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the project life cycle of a NEC contract
• Manage all contract communications, through CEMAR or equivalent
• Develop solutions to resolve site queries and design issues
• Review and accept contractor programmes
• Review contractors' traffic management plans and proposals
• Provide project highlight/progress reports to update the client team
• Monitor project progress against programme, quality, and budget
• Provide technical advice to clients and colleagues
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, health and safety legislation, and other relevant laws
• Support internal communications teams to inform residents and stakeholders
• Manage internal BCP staff supporting project delivery

Key Skills:

• BSc/BEng (Hons) Degree in Civil Engineering or related experience
• NEC Project Manager Accreditation
• Experience in leadership/management of a team
• Experience in all stages of design and construction of civil engineering projects
• Experience in supervising construction activities
• Proficiency in using AutoCAD
• Experience in using CEMAR or equivalent
• Experience in project or similar programme management software
• Knowledge of relevant design standards, regulations, and specifications
• Experience and knowledge of highway contracts and specifications
• Valid UK driving licence
• Understanding of public sector frameworks and methods of measurement
