Key Responsibilities:

  • Support PMO Governance Control activities for infrastructure Projects within Manufacturing plants.
  • Assist with a range of construction projects, including civil works, structural steel works, mechanical & electrical works, and facility fit outs.
  • Contribute to business planning, scheme reviews, budget cost creation, and justifications.
  • Ensure compliance with construction regulations such as planning applications and building control.
  • Support the Pre-Construction Manager in developing and maintaining Infrastructure standards.
  • Facilitate pre-construction & construction activities to deliver facilities and infrastructure safely, on budget, and on time.

Key Skills:

  • Proficient knowledge of RIBA Plan of Work stages and information exchange.
  • Experience in pre-construction, design, planning, cost estimation, and feasibility studies.
  • Knowledge in contractor management and site installations.
  • Clear understanding of site safety and safety legislation (CDM 2015 Reg etc).
  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience in infrastructure fields preferred.
  • Preferably a member of a recognised body (RICS, CIOB, ICES, APM).
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills.
  • Experience in developing and costing proposals through to project completion.

Detailed Description From Employer:

PMO / Project Coordinator (Client side) - Construction/Infrastructure Projects Temporary Contract inside IR35 starting ASAP until May 2027 40 hours per week. Location - Solihull Certain Advantage are recruiting on behalf of our globally renowned manufacturing client for a PMO/Project Coordinator with a background in delivering infrastructure projects (i.e. electrical, mechanical, civil etc) within an industrial/manufacturing environment. Key experience includes having experience of the CDM regulations (in particular safety legislation) and experience of implementing RIBA “Plan of Work” process. This role will take responsibility for the projects coordination support, documents and process control and compliance quality assurance of multiple Infrastructure Engineering projects.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Support PMO Governance Control activities for infrastructure Projects within Manufacturing plants, using both internal and external stakeholders as required.
  • Support a range of construction projects with various sizes including civil works, structural steel works, mechanical & electrical works and general facility fit outs.
  • Support the wider business planning, in scheme reviews, budget cost creation and justifications as required.
  • Support the compliance with monitoring of construction regulations such as planning applications, building control and listed building consent as required.
  • Support the Pre-Construction Manager with the development and maintenance of all Infrastructure standards.
  • Complete the pre-construction & construction activities to facilitate the delivery of world class facilities and infrastructure, safely, on budget, on time and to agreed quality standards.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Proficient knowledge of RIBA Plan of Work stages, inputs, outputs and information exchange required at different stages.
  • Experience in pre-construction, design, planning, cost estimation and feasibility studies.
  • Knowledge in contractor management and site installations, to deliver benchmark Site Safety performance.
  • Clear understanding of site safety, and Safety legislation (CDM 2015 Reg etc)
  • Relevant degree qualified or equivalent experience preferred (but not essential) in infrastructure fields such as: Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, Architecture, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Infrastructure, Building Services, utilities, …
  • Preferably a member of a recognised body (RICS, CIOB, ICES, APM,…)
  • Preferably knowledge of building, construction and infrastructure methods.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills
  • Knowledge and experience of supporting the development and costing of proposals, right through to delivery and final project completion.
