Summary: The Project Engineer will oversee installation activities on a high-profile project site in Durham, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with project scope, budget, and timelines. This role involves coordinating engineering design, monitoring civil engineering activities, and liaising with various stakeholders. Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise installation activities on the project site.
- Ensure all work is carried out safely, competently, and effectively.
- Identify and promote commercial opportunities.
- Coordinate engineering design and monitor civil engineering activities.
- Review and monitor projects using MS Project.
- Liaise between head office, customers, sub-contractors, and site employees.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, quality, and security procedures.
- Promote a culture of safety, quality, and environmental best practices.
- Requisition and control project materials.
- Ensure all targets and key milestones are met.
- Manage quality coordination and interface management.
Key Skills:
- Preferably an HND or degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Several years of experience in construction and/or electricity industry.
- Good understanding of HV cable systems and civil engineering matters.
- High level of computer literacy.
- Proven people management skills.
- Ability to work unsupervised and prioritize workload.
- UK driving licence is essential.
