Summary: The Project Designer role at EHS International involves supporting the design of layouts for a construction project in Manchester, focusing on reducing safety risks during construction and operation. Key Responsibilities:
- Support the design of layouts that reduce on-site safety risks during construction and operation
- Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations 2015 in all design documentation
- Work closely with site H&S managers and project engineers to identify and eliminate hazards at source
- Assist with pre-construction health and safety information and risk logs
- Incorporate safe access, egress and maintenance considerations into every design phase
Key Skills:
- Experience in a Health & Safety role within construction, civil engineering or architecture
- Strong understanding of UK H&S legislation including CDM 2015
- Awareness of construction design standards and safety-by-design principles
- Experience contributing to risk assessments or method statements
- CAD software knowledge (AutoCAD, Revit etc.) is desirable but not essential
