Project Designer

Summary: The Project Designer role at EHS International involves supporting the design of layouts for a construction project in Manchester, focusing on reducing safety risks during construction and operation. The position requires collaboration with health and safety managers and project engineers to ensure compliance with regulations and incorporate safety considerations into design phases. Key Responsibilities:

• Support the design of layouts that reduce on-site safety risks during construction and operation
• Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations 2015 in all design documentation
• Work closely with site H&S managers and project engineers to identify and eliminate hazards at source
• Assist with pre-construction health and safety information and risk logs
• Incorporate safe access, egress and maintenance considerations into every design phase

Key Skills:

• Experience in a Health & Safety role within construction, civil engineering or architecture
• Strong understanding of UK H&S legislation including CDM 2015
• Awareness of construction design standards and safety-by-design principles
• Experience contributing to risk assessments or method statements
• CAD software knowledge (AutoCAD, Revit etc.) is desirable but not essential
